About the University

Uzhorod State University was founded on July 19, 1945 in accordance with joint resolution of Council of People's Commissars of Ukrainian SSR and Central Committee of Communist Party of Ukrainian SSR. On October 19, 2000, Uzhorod State University was renamed Uzhorod National University.

Uzhorod National University belongs to classic universities of Ukraine, holding the highest 4th level of accreditation. It is one of the largest and best universities of the Carpathian region, situated in a wonderful student city Uzhorod on the slopes of the Carpathian Mountains in Western Ukraine. The university has acquired a well-deserved reputation in a scientific world, becoming the landmark and the alma-mater for generations of students who are working successfully both in Ukraine and other countries of the world. Uzhorod University has formed powerful scientific schools of the world acclaim. It collaborates with many top universities abroad.

According to the international scientometric data, Uzhorod National University has ranked stably among the 10 leading scientific centres of Ukraine. In the course of 69 years, it has worked out its own school of teaching (instruction), scientific and educational traditions.

The university today consists of three educational institutes (Institute of Foreign Languages, Institute of Economics and International Relations, Institute of Post- and Pre-degree Education), and 14 faculties: history, philology, law, social sciences, physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, medicine, stomatology, engineering, geography, physical education and sport, and Hungarian studies.

At present about 15,500 students study here at the university. Several scientific institutes and laboratories are housed at the university too, The university operates a botanical garden and a mountainside biological research station. Its library collection has approx. 1.5 million volumes.

Uzhorod National University has actually improved its positions in many rankings this year. It ranks 39th among 200 best universities of Ukraine (evaluation conducted by the Centre for International Projects "Yevroosvita"), entered the top 30 universities of Ukraine (according to the weekly "Focus"), became the 18th in the ranking of transparency of national universities (Analytical Center CEDOS) and jumped 11 positions up in the consolidated ranking of domestic universities. Moreover, Uzhorod NU gained the status of NVIDIA CUDA C/C++ Training Centre.

Total Fees includes Tuition Fee and Hostel Fee & Medical Ins. Total fee for 6 years Rs. 18,20,000 (approx.) From 2nd year Tuition Fees also can be paid on half yearly / yearly basis as convenient to the parents. (1 USD = 65 Rupees)

• 2. Air port transfer from Kiev to other cities may be approx 100 - 150 $
• 3. Medical checkup in Ukraine extra,

• 6. The above mentioned Fees is for calculation purpose & student will have to pay the fees actually mentioned in admission letter or changes if any whatever given by University
• 7.VISA Processing, Documentation ,Air ticket ,airport drop and pickup ,consultancy service Charges – 1,45,000=00

  Rs - 50000 2nd instalment at visa processing

  Rs – 75000 at the before Departure
